it's snowing!

Well, the weatherman was right for a change...we have our first snow of the season and I can't remember when I saw snow on the ground last. I guess that's why I try to write in my blog daily...because I can't remember things as well as I used to and this is like a running diary of my thoughts, for each day.

Right now, with the help of the porch light, I can only see less than an inch of snow on the ground...a mere dusting. The snowflakes falling are beautiful and it is so peaceful....not a sound....so quiet that you can almost hear, the falling of each snowflake, as it kisses the ground.

Since it's the weekend, I hope we get a deep snow, but that's wishful thinking on my part, since the weatherman only forcasted one inch accumilation, at best. Since my brother has that new snowblower they bought last year...thats never been used....maybe it'll snow 10 or 12 inches over there in Western Kentucky....on second thought, I heard Laurel mention something about thawing out a roast that she had frozen....so I suspect she is planning a big meal, with guests, for the weekend and a snow would not fit into their plans.....especially a deep snow.

Well, you are correct to predict just a dusting of snow. We got about a half inch on the ground but the roads and sidewalks are clear. The poor old virgin snowblower will just have to wait its turn again. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.

The roast is ready for the oven and so is the house.

I didn't mean that I was putting the house in the oven. I just meant that the house was ready for company. teehee

You're related to Motherkitty, right? You need to speak to her! - she is rambling and confused, putting houses in ovens and the like.

Your description of the snow falling so softly was delightful. It's so odd to think that you're having snow while we're having a veritable sweatbath! Odd, but good, that we can connect like this from across the world.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Jelly,
Motherkitty has been rambling & confused since before Christmas and I think that she is finally getting back on tract. I just hope that she doesn't burn the house down. hee hee

Thanks for your nice comment about my post.

Sound like you guys don't get a lot of the white stuff. Up here in the Great White North, snow is a way of life - you just trudge on, BBQ in it, go to the beach in it, tan in it, wash your car with it, and so on...(*lol*)

However, yesterday's temperature was 50 degrees fahrenheit - IN JANUARY! We are all a little creeped out, and all very wet.

Mmm, roast...
