Sometimes

When I'm lonely and feeling blue,
all I do is think of you.
Of moonlit walks along the Nile,
with sun bleached sands and crocodiles.
Of walks around a river bend,
with memories that will never end.
Of walks along the gulf shore coasts,
chasing crabs that disappear like little ghosts.
Sometimes when I'm feeling blue
all I do is think of you.
Of cycling across the desert trails...
the wind, the rain, we cannot fail.
Of gliding high across the sky
in parachutes that are tie-dyed.
Upon Mt. Everest we well climb
if imagined only in our minds.
We'll climb atop the Redwood trees,
if only there to feel the breeze.
Sometimes when I'm feeling blue
all I do is think of you.
On rocky shores along the coast,
we took a walk and made an oath.
Of children born, out of our love,
sent here like angels from God above.
When I'm lonely and feeling blue
all I do is think of you.
Of river rafting on a raging stream,
with you, my family, It was a dream.
We make our trips, we journey far,
we're happy to be wherever we are.
Sometimes when I'm feeling blue,
all I do is think of you.
I think of roses, red and sweet
and all the things you like to eat.
Of T-bone steaks, you cook so fine
and raspberries growing on the vine.
Of your pets, so cuddly and soft,
sleeping with them up in the loft.
Of your sweet scent, I know it well
you fill the room with that great smell.
Of those times when you're gone away,
I pray to God that you'll be okay.
Of floating there upon the pond
knowing your spirit will never be gone.
Of time spent so long ago,
in memories not lost come rain,
sleet or snow.
When I'm lonely and feeling blue
all I do is think of you.
Of all the things we say and do,
most of all I'm loving you.
I wrote this and I call it my never ending poem, because it can go on and on.
