Yellowstone National Park

This picture was taken in Yellowstone Natl. Park in Wyoming, on our last cross country trip in 2004. Brian, Reva & Brandon (in the sidecar) have stopped to gaze at a herd of buffalo, off in the distance. Later in the day we get to see a buffalo, up close and personal, when one of them strolls out on the road in our paths. The following day, a mother buffalo charges our motorcycles and we must flee very quickly out of her way and to safety.
We traveled with our son & his family for 4 weeks and then they had to head back to Kentucky for the beginning of school for Brandon. Jimmy & I continued on our trip for another 2 weeks before we headed back home.

My tushy hurts from just thinking about riding around on a cycle for that many weeks. I'm sure it was a fabulous trip. You really get to see the countryside and all the creatures who live on the land up-close-and-personal, don't you?

You pay more attention to your surroundings when you travel on a motorcycle....you smell every flower in bloom and since your smeller works so great...you stay away from nasty, big, smelly cities.

And yes, as I get older, my tushy does need more frequent rest stops...but I have a wonderful hubby and an understanding family that see that MOM is happy.

You've heard the old saying haven't you?

"If mama ain't happy,
ain't nobody happy."
