These are pictures we took yesterday of our beautiful snow, before it melted away...we barely had enough snow to build the snowman and by the end of the day...our snowman collapsed. We had about 5 or 6 inches of wet snow that covered all the branches of the trees...It really looked like a winter wonderland of snow.
Brian, Brandon & Reva had a snowball fight, while I stood back and took pictures...I was never fast enough, with my camera, to actually capture a thrown snowball in flight. I should have just handed the camera over to my daughter, Suzanne...I'm sure she would have done a much better job at taking the pictures.
We never did find that elusive sled...and I was glad because I wasn't looking forward to trudging up a snow covered hill. I also had my back to think about...it has finally gotten better and I certainly didn't want to re-injure myself.
For it being such a snowy day, it didn't keep anyone at home. We had a very busy day with company coming in and out and we finally ended our day by all going out to eat
This morning I have awakened to a new covering of snow on the ground. All of our footsteps from yesterday have vanished and today we get to start all over again...with a clean white covering of snow...a brand new day.

Since I don't have a blog I just wanted to say thanks for the great time we had yesterday. We love hanging out and doing things with you and Jimmy. We always have a great time with you guys and enjoy your company, and I that is why we love visiting so much. Brandon really had a good time and he says he has the coolest grandma and grandpa there is. His favorite was the snowball fight and going out to eat. Which was a treat for us since we hardly go out to eat. Just wanted to say thanks for the great times we always have with you guys and we love you. You know who.
Sounds like you guys and anonymous and family had a fabulous time yesterday. We got very little snow although snow flakes came down practically all day. Today most of it melted but it's still falling sporatically. Nothing is sticking, though. Love the pictures.
Tell anonymous it's time to break down and set up that blog.
Thank you for leaving such a nice comment...that is so sweet of you.
And speaking of 'sweet'...I'm trying to talk Jimmy out of that BIG chocolate heart that you guys gave him. So far, he just lets me look at it.
Tell Brandon that I have had nothing but fun with that purple fuzzy-headed pen that he gave me...and of course the whisling dog too.
Did you show Brandon all the pictures that I sent? I'm interested to find out what he had to say about them...please let me know.
I used my pretty cup this morning and it holds 2 cups of coffee...Jimmy didn't have any trouble getting my coffee just right...I thought he might...but it was perfect as usual.
We had fun too. Come on over and we'll do it again...we have plenty of snow.
Motherkitty, I have been trying to tell anonymous that a blog would be fun, especially on these cold winter days...but, we'll just have to see what happends.
I know once they got started that they would love it.
Very nice snowman. I have been watching the Olympics and reading "The Broker" by John Grisham. Nice large print too.
I am up in the middle of the night. The snow has quit and I think about an inch of cover is on the ground if I measure a drift.
Oh, this looks like so much fun!
Glad you got to spend time with your family, too.
Tomas, You might get to use that snowblower yet...on that possible, inch deep drift.
The snow outside is still very clean and fresh looking even though it has been tracked and moved around. We have some foot high deep mounds, where children have been playing...& in other places the snow barely covers the grass.
The little girl, from next door, was outside yesterday making snow angels... with the help from another neighbors puppies. We don't see her out much and she looked like she was really having fun.
Jelly, This is the only snow we have had, at our house, that has been over...what you can call...just a dusting, in several years. It has also been covering the ground now for 3 days...another first.
That's why we get so excited when it snows here.
My grandson, Matt was about 7 years old before he ever saw his first snowflake. So snow is not a normal thing for us anymore, as it used to be. The weather here is more like southern California weather...with humidity.
