The last of the tomatoes

These are the last of the tomatoes...the vines are dead...or at least they were trying to die six days ago, before the rains started. If the sun ever comes out, I'll go out and check them again. They may have decided to live just a little longer, since they've been watered...I sure hope so.

I seem to have missed so much.
Firstly, l hope all goes well for Jimmy- that photo below is very thought provoking. (hugs)
It has been raining here this past week as well so sympathise with you there too.
I have heard that if you cover the unripened tomatoes with cardboard and place a banana nearby they ripen faster.
Love the new hand in your town- wish that our local council would do something artsy like that for us.
Have missed blogging and did so appreciated you stopping by to say hello.
xx

Our's went a month ago. They were good while they lasted.

Our tomatoes did not last very long. The new plants that were planted very late are huge but with no ripe tomatoes as of yet. With no hot weather in the future those tomatoes will not turn red. Maybe next year.

What pretty tomatoes! You're very lucky to have a spot for a garden! There's nothing better than fresh home grown tomatoes!

Tell us about the "cake". Life is short, "eat dessert first"

Keeping Jimmy in my thoughts and in my heart for a speedy surgery and recovery.

And those tomatoes look delicious. I'd almost rather have those than the cake. Almost. :)

Nothing better than a sandwich with a still-warm tomato fresh from the vine!
