Very Fresh Salad!!!!!!!

I'm sure that you have all heard the warnings, about staying away from fresh packaged spinach because of the contamination with e-coli. Well how about this? Here's a substitute for you.

Look closely at the package.

Don't forget this brand of fresh lettuce, folks. What probably happened is, the water the lettuce was washed in contained polliwogs and these became fresh new frogs, right in the packages.
So if you're looking for salad fixins with a little more "body," then be sure and try this brand. Don't forget, it's the extra care that Mexican companies take that makes the difference.

Folks...I'm sure that this is just a joke...probably something done in photoshop by someone, but I just couldn't resist putting it on here and especially now with the spinach contamination. But I'm sure that everyone is avoiding anything leafy & green that is packaged, for the moment.

On another note...Jimmy had his cataract removed yesterday and misses it...he wants it back! Just kidding.
Jimmy did have his cataract removed and is doing fine after a brief scare this morning. He woke up and said everything looked a shade of pink to him. Not exactly the results we were hoping for. He took me over to a dirty window and said, "that's how everything looks to me, except in pink." I immediately thought that he probably was going to need some kind of lazer treatment later on to clear it up, but by late afternoon, he said things were clearing up and he was beginning to see better.

Tomorrow he goes back for a post op exam, so we'll know more after that visit.

After he was released from the O.R. yesterday, we had one hour to kill before he was to return to the surgeon's office to have the eye-patch removed and it was like having a two year old again. He was thirsty, so I went thru the drive-thru at Sonic and got him a very large drink. I made the mistake of letting him hold it by himself...you see, he wasn't completely out of the effects of his anesthesia yet.
He spilled the whole drink before we even left the parking lot...right into my purse!!! and all over the floor of the car.
I tried to remain calm and did a pretty good job of it. I asked him if he wanted another drink and he said no, so I gave him the bottled water that was in the car to drink, but he said he really wasn't thirsty. I parked and emptied the contents of my purse checking to see if my cell phone and digital camera still worked...and they did. Things, as you can imagine, were just a bit sticky to say the least.

I drove back to the surgeon's office and tried to clean the floorboard of the car...we still had a little time before his appointment. Jimmy tried to help and I told him that he wasn't supposed to bend over and he got upset with me and said that I was treating him like a child and nobody told him that he couldn't bend over. And he was right...nobody told us that he couldn't bend over, I just had a feeling that he shouldn't. The only thing that I was told, was to hold on to him, so he wouldn't lose his balance and fall...Try to hold on to a rebellious two year old!

My whole afternoon yesterday was like that, but thank God he took a very, very long nap.*S* I tried to cleanup my purse, but I think it's hopeless... nothing was damaged but the purse itself, so no real harm done. And the rug in the car just needs a good shampooing. And thank goodness, he doesn't remember a thing about yesterday because he doesn't like being treated like a child, and I'm just glad he's back to his old wonderful self today.

What a day you had! What a mess to spill a drink in your purse! Throw everything you can away, including the purse or you will be sticky forever!! (been there - done that!) I hope Jimmy recovers quickly, he is in my thoughts. Ref. the "frog salad" it looks real! Maybe the photo wasn't altered, could be the real thing!

Glad Jimmy is doing better. Three cheers for Versed -- makes you not remember what happened during the procedure and afterwards as the patient is recovering. See ya soon.

Sandy,
Thanks for posting about the cataract surgery. Bill's cataract surgery will be scheduled a couple months after the surgery he's having tomorrow.
Glad Jimmy's went well.
When my Mom had hers she kept the patch on for 24 hours and returned the next day. Maybe they're getting faster these days?

Sandy, I'm never too tired to have a good chuckle at your stories. Thanks for making me laugh :)
I'm glad Jimmy is feeling better and seeing things in a less rosy light than he was this morning :) I'm always telling Ross, when he gives me compliments, that he's looking at me through rose-colored glasses. It's nice to hear them though :)
I'm sorry about your purse and I'm glad Jimmy's back to his old sweet self :)

Well, if that was done in Photoshop, whoever did it has done a fabulous job!

I hope Jimmy continues to make a good recovery.
