Pictures

On this cold frosty morning, I just thought I'd post some pictures of some of our rides. I love to take pictures, but I don't stop and take enough...I'm going to have to do better now that I have a blog and a place where I can share them with my family & friends.

This first picture is Humpback Bridge in Virginia. We were accompanied on this ride with my daughter, the Pineapple Princess & her husband. For those of you that aren't familiar with my family, most of us have motorcycles and ride...even the grandchildren.

The second picture is just of a bolder I liked in South Dakota. If you are ever at Mt. Rushmore, just look off the beaten path and you will find it.

The third picture is on a ride with my son, the newly discovered wooden bowl craftsman & his family. He rides a bike with a sidecar because there are three of them. The picture is of Devil's Tower in Wyoming.

The last picture Jimmy & I were by ourselves, riding the length of the Blue Ridge Parkway which starts in Cherokee, North Carolina and I believe ends in Front Royal, Virginia. We however diverted to Virginia Beach to join the Pineapple Princess & her husband Scott. I love the ocean and have to see it at least once a year...somehow or someway.*LOL*

The picture below is of a creek Jimmy & I hiked over to along the way. I don't know the name of the creek, I just know that it was either in North Carolina or Virginia. I guess I should take advantage of my camera's ability to take still pictures with sound and just go ahead and name the places, as I take the pictures.

Great pictures Sandy!
How fun that everyone in your family can ride together!
It's chilly here today, but the sun is shining. Bill's going to be hanging the outdoor lights..

I can just see you all pulling into a resterant on your bikes and people watching - then they find out what a nice group of people you are. Great pictures - they look very proffesional.

Beautiful!! I have seen Devil's Tower before and have been to South Dakota --that's where my grandparents lived for some time.

All the photos are 'delicious'! (I can't think of a better description)...they just are!!

Glad you enjoyed the 'time gone back with TV' today...yes, I agree. If only THIS generation was exposed to that type of entertainment.

Happy Monday!!

Makes me want to hit the road and do some traveling. I'm like you I want to see the beach at least once a year. I have began to regain my habit back of doing so.

These are beautiful. I really like the bridge. I have been looking for bridges of the old'en kind. Love the boders all of them.
So a camera that you can talk to & take a still photo. Humm, do I need that? I think I do!

You certainly get to see some wonderful things on your travels. I'm with Marsha - my favourite photo is the bridge, too. Though the Devil's Tower is pretty cool, too!

Paige & Lee-ann...yes, my camera has a feature that allows you about 5-10 ??? seconds of sound just so that you can name your photo. For sometime I didn't know about it (because I don't search the menu)but my grandson set my camera on it. It was funny because when I downloaded my pictures and clicked to enlarge them, all of a sudden there were people talking, including myself. I immediately thought that this was not such a good thing because someone might say something not knowing they are being recorded so I turned off the feature. Now I can't find it. I'll have to get out the manual. *LOL*

My daughter is in that bridge waiting for me to come to the other side to take her picture.

I'm glad you liked the pictures and I'll be sure to tell Jimmy, so we can go out and take some more but not right now *LOL*... it's liable to snow a foot or two in those places right now.

Wystful1...There is so much to see in S.Dakota. It's a beautiful state that I love to visit.

We were at Devil's Tower in 1979, on the way to CA, and then on to Australia where we lived for 3 and a half years before returning to the US.
These pictures are wonderful Sandy. Oh, I'd love to see the sea!!! I miss it!
We visited Mt. Rushmore on that same trip. Don't recall seeing your bolder though. :)
