The World 's Cheapest Car

This is all I need for all the running around I do. I no longer work on a daily basis, or any basis at all for that matter, and only use my car for visiting family & friends. This little car is called the 'Nano.' It gets 50 mpg, seats 4 and has a new car price of only $2,500 and I thought I would never be able to afford a new car on my retirement pay again. The only bad thing is that I think they are only sold in India right now.
With only an engine size of 625cc's the engine is more than twice as small as my motorcycle and with this small price, even if it doesn't last but 3 -4 years, you can afford to buy another one. I wonder how much repairs would cost? and who would work on it if something happened to it. I'm also wondering how much it would cost to ship one of these little babies over here to the U.S. It's cute, but I think I heard on the news that it only goes 60 mph, so of course you'd have to stay in the slow lane on the interstate highways. You'd probably feel like a little bug on the road if one of those big tractor trailer trucks whizzed by you. You may even get blown off the road by a strong wind...or maybe a not so strong wind. It was nice to see that they made these little cars in my favorite color...red. I love red, but red is prone to getting hit. It's like a target that everybody aims at. "Let's see if you can hit that red thang, Mary Lou!"

You can read more about that little car HERE.

Changing the subject, sort of....
Do any of you think that they paint the line in the center of the road with a strong magnetic paint? It's hard for me to keep my car away from that line and if another car is approaching I'm drawn to it like a strong magnet. They must paint cars with the same paint.

Well, I just finished my bowl of cereal and I see it's already time for lunch, so I'd better get off this computer and check out what my hubby has cooking for Sunday dinner cause I don't smell anything. Shucks...he's already gone outside for the day, so I'd better get a move on and get myself showered and dressed. It looks like it's going to be a very nice day.

That is a nice car. It would work fine running around town and visiting family. Long trips on the expressway are out for that little car.

Loved the last 2 posts you sneaked in on me!! Your family is lovely of course! Who does the dust mop belong to??

I saw these little cars. No radio and no A/C. That was the downside, especially that no A/C!! I think I'd be afraid to hit I-75 in one of those little things! One 18 wheeler whizzing past and away you'd go! They remind me of the little car that Steve Erkle drove!!

Are you sure there is not a rat running on a wheel under the hood? Or, pedals maybe?

I don't think I would like the Nano...have you looked at a semi's wheels...they could crush that thing flat!

What I want is a little Pink PT Cruiser and in three years trade it for a Red one ;)

Cute little car, Sandy...but you got almost as much room on that motorcycle of yours! ;)

Tiny- I'd be scared to drive it around the block as a bicycle rider might hit me, or even someone walking their dog. Then they would have to cut me out of the little thing with a can opener.
Wander what the emissions rating is and how much it will cost to store at the landfill.

lol

I avoid the center line, so we have the opposite problem. I'm more likey to run over a mailbox than to run over the center line.

I'd be scared to drive that tiny car! It looks smaller than a golf cart. I bet a sewing machine has a more powerful engine than that. A VW bug would feel mighty macho next to that car.

The wacko environmentalists are up in arms over the affordability of this car. They say too many people in India will now be able to afford them...and therefore quit walking or riding a bike..and therefore create more air pollution. They're never happy, are they?
