The Energy Tax is a tax increase

Nancy Pelosi is pushing for a vote on the National Energy Tax H.R. 2454, as early as tomorrow, which I am against because of the excessive cost it will add to my budget, and I live on a fixed income. How much more does this administration want to bleed us for? I'm begging my Congressman to vote against it when it comes up for a vote tomorrow.

Everyone needs to call their Congressman and tell them to vote NO on the National Energy Tax because this is what it will do:
  1. Reduce aggregate gross domestic product (GDP) by $9.6 trillion
  2. Destroy an average of 1-3 million jobs, every year
  3. Raise electricity rates 90 percent after adjusting for inflation
  4. Raise inflation-adjusted gasoline prices by 74 percent
  5. Raise residential natural gas prices by 55 percent
  6. Raise an average family's annual energy bill by $1,500 annually
  7. Increase the federal debt by 26 percent, which is $29,150 per person
Remember....You only have until tomorrow to let your Congressman know how you feel.

All my utilities raise their rates no matter what I do. Now they have no choice but to clean up the air and water and still raise my rates.

The tax got passed by Congress and now it goes to the Senate for a vote.
This tax is also commonly referred to the "Cap n Trade."

Guess what? There's pork in this bill too!!! When will they ever learn?
