Family Time

Spent the whole afternoon and evening with Brian, Reva and Brandon today.  It was nice spending so much time with them.  We didn't get everything done that I wanted to get done because it was just too hot to be out.  Our mercury thermometer, that's always in the shade, said it was 98 f degrees, and that was around 6:30 or 7 p.m.  Of course it didn't really talk and say that....Jimmy said that it was 98 degrees.

Grandpa Jimmy with Brandon

We went to Ryan's to eat and saved a ton of money, so we all went shopping for school clothes since school starts in 2 weeks in Rockcastle County for Brandon.  We found some really good deals at Rue's and some really cool clothes.  Is "cool" still a cool word to say?  Anyway, Brandon loved his new clothes and gave out lots of hugs, kisses and thank you's to everyone.   I hope that I'm not embarrassing him,  but I hope he never changes that sweet side of his, we all love it! and we all love that he still expresses it openly to us.

Brandon

Brandon is taking a college history course this summer and should be done with it by next Friday, then he has to take the final test.  I couldn't believe how thick his history book is but he loves to read and he likes history so he'll do great on the test.  He'll be a Junior in high school this coming school year and if the time flies as fast as it has for the last 16 years, we'll be going to his H.S. graduation soon.  I'm so proud of my grandson and he's such a fine young man.
