Snow...what's that?

Yesterday the weatherman kept telling us that we were going to get some snow after lunch today.  Then today at 3:00 p.m. I was wondering what happened to the snow? Then a little before 4:00 p.m. it started raining really hard and that's when the plumber came to fix a leak, under the house.  Not a good time to be crawling around on the ground, but before the plumber finished his job, the snow finally arrived in GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL FLAKES.  This is our first snow of the year.

I suppose you're wondering why the picture of my crock-pot on the side there?  Well, yesterday when I heard that we would be trapped in with snow covering the ground, I decided to make a pot of soup beans.  And I do believe that those were the tastiest and best flavored soup beans that I've ever made or eaten.  Of course the way they turned out might be because of that nice crock-pot that was a gift from Ron, Thank you Ron, and Jimmy thanks you as well, but I think the beans were good because of all that ham I put in there with the beans last night.  I'll have to remember to do that again...the ham part.

Getting back to our snow.  It's not very much and I can't see it very well because it's dark out, but what is funny is that every time Jimmy goes out to sweep off the back porch and steps, the aluminum door freezes shut and he can't get back in, poor guy.  I keep hearing a knock on the back door and I think to myself, what fool is out in this weather coming over for a visit?
There it goes again.....Knock, Knock, Knock!
