Three (3) degrees is not the time to step out the back door in your pajamas without your coat because,
that's when the door will lock behind you.
I was talking on the phone with my brother Dennis when I heard a knock at the front door. Not thinking that it could possibly be Jimmy, I waited for Jimmy to answer the door, after all, I couldn't because I was in my nightgown. When the knocking continued, and grew louder, I slipped on my great big fluffy housecoat and opened the locked door. I never imagined I would find Jimmy standing there in his pajamas, and my first thought, after I saw that he was ok, was, IT'S A GOOD THING THAT I WASNT IN THE SHOWER OR I NEVER WOULD HAVE HEARD HIM KNOCKING!
I've always told Jimmy not to go outside when it's icy, snowy and cold unless he tells me that he is going out there. He doesn't have to ask for permission to go out, but normally he gets up before daylight to let his cat out and while he is waiting for her to return, he feeds the outdoor cats.....all while I am still asleep. I'm just going to have to start wrapping his oxygen tubing around me again so that it wakes me when he gets up.
But what do I do when he escapes while I'm in the shower? That's just what he did about an hour later, but this time he was well dressed for the weather, and I wasn't when I went out to find him cleaning the snow and ice off the car.
