Rick's been a sweetheart

Rick went back to work last Thursday and is working today as well.  He was off work for about 3 weeks and he was so sweet and helpful during the entire time.  He has been lots of fun to be with.  Building new homes I guess is very stressful besides being very physically tiring.

Here's where he was working,
but now he has gone to Boonesboro road, the Winchester cut off on I75  to work for this week.

At the Boonesboro house he is helping with putting up the front and back porch posts in place.  There are 16 posts I think he said.    There are many other jobs he will also be doing there this week and he will also have to go back to the house pictured above to finish up work there after the electricians, heating and air guys, and the plumbers finish up their work.  Rick has to do all of his various jobs and then the house can get  inspected, so they can continue with insulating and the drywall.  The windows should have already been put in, but they are back-ordered and Rick will also help in putting those in.

Covid has slowed things down.  Building supplies and appliances are sometimes hard to get, and windows and doors that are special ordered sometimes take quite a while to receive.

Rick's mood will probably change now that he's gone back to work  because he'll be so tired when he gets home, but at least I had a chance to see him at his best for these past few weeks.

On another note, Rick just called to ask me if my electricity was on.  Suzanne phoned me first to ask the same question, and yes, mine is still on.  It seems that all of Berea, Ky. and parts of Rockcastle county are experiencing a power outage.  I don't know how I escaped still having it on, but I do, so I'm charging up whatever needs charging for the time being, like my laptop.

It's extremely hot out, 91 degrees, so maybe we're having a brown out. I'm going to excuse myself right now and go take a shower before the power goes out here too.  Bye.
