Once said...it's too late to take it back

Has something ever come out of your mouth and instantly you know that you shouldn't have said it, and now it's too late to take it back? The harm has been done and there's no taking it back. The best that you can now hope for is that no harm comes from it all.

I feel so bad for spilling the beans although in the end I had always planned on being honest & truthful, but I wanted to chose the time and the place where it would cause the least amount of harm, and to someone it might have even been uplifting news to hear.

Sometimes we're just our own worst enemy. We start out trying to help, but end up hurting someone we really love. What's left to say? I'm sorry? I think it's a bit too late for the I'm sorry's now.
