Ricky's Persimmon Tree

Went out to Farristown and helped Ricky mow his lawn.  He has such a beautiful yard and it's very large, so he needs help.  He went out early this morning and did the weed-eating.  He lives on a corner lot, so there is a lot of weed-eating to do.  I estimate that he has about 600 feet or more of weed-eating just on the street and that's not counting anything within the yard.  My weed-eating days are over, so I can't help him with that anymore.

Rick has a large persimmon tree in his yard that has the best tasting  persimmons ever.  I've never been a big fan of persimmons, but this tree sold me.  I've tasted persimmons before, but I have to brag on the flavor of the fruits on his tree.

Apparently the weather has been perfect for persimmons this year and his tree is loaded with unripe fruit.  The persimmons won't fall from the tree until sometime in October after a frost.  You don't dare put a persimmon into your mouth until it is fully ripe or your mouth will pucker up and the inside will turn all white and you'll have a very unpleasant taste in your mouth.  If that happens you won't want to ever put a persimmon in your mouth ever again.

Here are some pictures of the branches of the persimmon tree that I took today.  Some of the other branches are laying on the ground they are so loaded, but that's normal for this tree and they are heavy with fruit as they are every year.
