Tomas Dennis Diaz

 I had an awesome conversation with my brother Dennis yesterday.  We don't talk on the phone as much as we should, but that's life I guess.  We all have very busy lives and sometimes we take our brothers for granted that they will always be there, so we put off making those phone calls.  

I really should drive over and visit him and Laurel more often.  We are all getting older and we don't have many years left in our lives.  Our days are numbered.  I love my brother very much and I do miss him quite a bit.

Rick asked me why I didn't take my brother's invitation to go visit with them over the 4th of July weekend, but I was having so much trouble walking that I didn't even mention the invite to Rick.  Rick said that we should have gone.  Maybe we will sometime soon when Rick has another break from work.  Rick was off work for 3 weeks, but he went back yesterday and it looks like he will be busy working for quite sometime now.

I missed the perfect opportunity, but I'm hoping that I'll get another chance to visit Laurel & Dennis, and Allison & kids but until then I hope to talk to them more on the phone.  I love and miss all of you!  

Feeling Blessed

 I just off the phone talking to my brother Dennis and his wife Laurel.  I have been thinking about them for a while, and they were also on the Zoom call yesterday, but my Mac doesn't support audio on Zoom, so I didn't get to do much but watch.  My iPhone was able to pick up audio, but not well enough for them to hear me, but I could hear them.

Anyway getting back to today.......I was tickled to death to get to speak to Laurel & Dennis.  I miss them so much and I wish we lived closer, especially now since we are all growing older.  Before long, one of us will be gone, and then it will be too late to tell them how much I love and miss them.  

Here is an older picture of Laurel & Dennis with their grandchildren when the grandchildren were much younger.  Laurel & Dennis pretty much still look the same today as they did in this picture.  They just don't seem to age, but one of the grandchildren is already in college, so that gives you an idea of how old this picture is.

Dennis and Laurel: Visit April 10 - 12, 2014

We had a wonderful visit with my brother Dennis and his wife Laurel who came to Berea to visit.  It was VERY NICE seeing them again and I hope that it certainly won't be their last visit here.  Maybe the next time they can stay in Boone Tavern which my brother said was very nice.  Although I live here, I haven't been in Boone Tavern very much, and it was also years ago since I was in there.

We ate out a lot, did a lot of talking and some shopping.  These past few days Jimmy and I were like tourists in our own home town.  Berea is a beautiful place to live and to visit, and we love it when family comes to visit, and we hope they come back soon :)
