Kingdom Come State Park

A favorite pastime of ours, is to get out on our bikes and, explore new places. After coming back from this park, last summer, I googled it and found out that there was more to the park, than what we had seen...So we are anxious to go back to do some further exploring. The park is located on highway 119 in Kentucky, near Pineville...not far from the Virginia border.

Pictured are my husband, son & his wife...and you can't see me because I'm over here, behind the camera taking the pictures.

Fantastic vistas. It must be a great feeling to just get on your bikes on a whim and go for a ride, whether long or short, to explore the countryside.

You realize, of course, that you absolutely must take Cucoo along on your next trip so he can also experience the freedom of the road. Too much Hollywood is probably taking him away from his roots (pardon the pun).

Your husband is quite the dude, in his leather!
The park looks like a beautiful place. That rock slab (it's not a fallen tree, is it?)your son and hubby are standing on is amazing.

You know, Sandy, re your comment on my recent 'disco post': I forget that Fatty's nickname could cause some bloggers to believe he's tubby. It's just a silly, affectionate name, and I never would have used it if Fatty was actually overweight! He's quite slim, as you say, and he did look surprisingly good last night in his sparkly shirt!! (I thought so, anyway!)

Hope you're a having a lovely weekend Sandy.

The park looks absolutely wonderful...very awe inspiring..sorry I was distracted by Cocoo

Actually Kentucky looks wonderful..was through there one, but it was just a "throught" via grayhound heading south. Hope I can say I've seen more some day..*S*

Motherkitty...Yes it's very exciting, but no different than getting into your car and doing the same thing...other than the condition of your hair when you arrive.

Jellyhead....Thanks, my husband IS quite a dude and yes, that is a rock that they are standing on. Re Fatty...I already knew that he wasn't fat, because I know you and I know that you would have never referred to him as Fatty if he were indeed fat.

Finn...I hope that you get another chance to check Ky. out further, but I hear that your state is quite beautiful and I plan on checking it out myself this summer.

Thanks all of you for your nice comments.

Brian, Reva & Brandon...We can't wait either for this warm weather to hurry up and get here, so we can be off again.

I'd like to come into the park from the new extrance they just finished. The one on that great big mountain, remember, that was nothing but gravel the first time we crossed it?

Glad you're back and I hope all was well in Cynthiana.

That is funny you mentioned the gravel road, I don't think I could ever forget that! Ha! Ha!
