Living in 2006

You know you are living in 2006 when...

1. You accidentially enter your password on the microwave.
2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.
3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three.
4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you (or in the next classroom).
5. Your reason for not staying in touch with family & friends is...they don't have e-mail addresses.
6. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.
7. Every commercial on TV has a website at the bottom of the screen.
8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20, 30 or 60 years of your life, is now cause for panic and you turn around to go get it.
10. You get up in the morning and go check for comments on your blog before getting your coffee.
11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. :)
12. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.
13. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to copy and send this message to.
14. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.
15. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list.

And now you are laughing at yourself.

I could add a few to your list... You check your email when you get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.
You instant message your grandchildren instead of calling (you do that too).
You never go to the library to research anything, you just Google it.
The whole thing is mind-boggling, we used to get imitation Dick Tracy watches in Cracker Jacks and now we have real ones in our pockets. Thanks for commenting on my blog. All the friendly comments have made me feel a lot more comfortable with writing on line.
BTW, who is Sarah

MrsGreenThumb...I like the ones you've added to the 2006 list...Next time someone prints these out, they'll have to add these too.
I do these, although I don't have a watch of anykind. Jimmy & I don't wear one since we retired. And Sarah is our
granddaughter.

Like I've said about blogging...It's just like a public email...the only thing is that everyone in the world can answer you back...Isn't that great!

Sandy, I happened upon your blog by accident, but enjoyed reading your posts. I'm ashamed to admit that although I laughed out loud regarding "Living in 2006", I found myself guilty of several of your entries. Thanks for the laugh!
