Why I Am Tired!

For a couple years I've been blaming it on lack of sleep, not enough sunshine, too much pressure from my job, earwax buildup, poor blood or anything else I could think of.

But now I found out the real reason:

I'm tired because I'm overworked.
Here's why...The population of this country is 273 million.

140 million are retired. That leaves 133 million to do the work.

There are 85 million in school. Which leaves 48 million to do the work.

Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal government.

Leaving 19 million to do the work.

2.8 million are in the armed forces preoccupied with killing
Osama Bin Laden!

Which leaves 16.2 million to do the work.

Take from that total the 14.8 million people who work for state and city governments.

And that leaves 1.4 million to do the work.

At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals.

Leaving 1,212,000 to do the work.

Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons.

That leaves just two people to do the work.

You and me.

And there you are sitting, at your computer, reading jokes.

.......................................
You have just read another wonderful email sent to me by my, soon to be 80 year old, Aunt Virginia...And if my cousins Ron or Ann are reading this...could you please show Aunt Virginia how to send me pictures.

That was very funny. Please thank Aunt Virginia for this very interesting and informative e-mail message. Now I know why I'm so tired. I'm the other one who's doing all the work (and sitting at my computer blogging). That means you and I are doing everything!!!! What a terrible responsibility.

Very funny, thank you for doing all the work. Mothers of preschoolers are in a special class of black hole workers, I think. On any given day, you could stay busy working all day, and have nothing to show for it at the end of the day. So, unfortunately for me, about once a week, I just look around, say oh well, and don't do much of any work. This of course, makes the next few days rather exciting, but someone has to live on the edge.It is especially fun when my "helpers" decide to help mommy clean up. I choose to accept the help with a smile and just accept the fact that I will have to refold the towels approximately 3 times before putting them away....I don't know what this has to do with your post anymore, but oh well...

Finn sent me. (Sounds like the code words to get into a speakeasy.)

She was right. Your posts are great and brought smiles to my morning.

You got me with "Pasadena" in your title. I was tickled to find out that you're in Kentucky. We sure wouldn't have met at the grocery store. ;)

Thanks again for the smiles. I'm one of the retired people that's sitting here playing on the computer.
