What a wonderful surprise we had, when who should come strolling up to the yard, on Easter Sunday, but none other than Cucoo himself ! We were expecting the Easter Bunny instead.
Daisy was even glad to see Cucoo and gave him a big, "Welcome Home Kiss"....
Now Daisy, get away from Cucoo!!! That's enough...Daisy are you listening to me?
Unfortunately, I didn't get the next picture because Daisy snatched Cucoo with a swipe of a paw and I had to drop my camera and run to the rescue.
Cucoo managed to run to the safety of his hut in the bushes and, I am pleased to report that Cucoo is now (safely ????) at home once again.

Hooray!!! Cucoo has returned!! And in such style, with the hooded sweatshirt!!
Happy Easter Sandy!
What a wonderful Easter surprise. :)
Cucoo looks like something the cat would like to slap around with all that fuzz on top! That phlox is lovely!!
Dr. Hechema! I had forgot about him. He once took a couple of moles off my face. Said he was going to make me beautiful. He did not though. Sigh. Paula Fields was DON when I was there. Dr. Kerby was with an E, that's right. I recall Marsha Nelson (Nurse), Ed Gabbard (janitor has died since then), Mondel Spurlock (nurses aide), Dr. Blackburn (who ended up marrying Paula -shock shock), Dr. Lewis, Dr. Long, Dr. Johnstone, Dr. Desai (I think that's right. He came in from Richmond). Ah, those were good old days to recall!! We had a softball team one season and I played on it. George Loze (physical therapist) was our coach. We lost every game! There was only 3 teams and one was like pro, one was medium, and one was poor. The poor team was us!!
Welcome home Cucoo and I like your sweatshirt.
Oh, Mondella died, how sad. She was so sweet. I tried to remember Betty Issacs name but never could. Thank you so much!! I always liked her too. She always looked so nice. One time I called the code 500 # by accident since I was bored and I said, Hi Betty, what cha doing? She said, RACHEL DO YOU KNOW YOU CALLED ME ON THE CODE LINE? LOL! Scared her to death!
I remember Sam Reed too but couldn't remember his name. Do you know Nancy Pickle? She is a nurse. I used to work as an aide in the skilled nursing part. Then I changed over to being a ward clerk in the main hospital part. I loved that job. It's been the favorite job I think I ever had! Oh gee, I hate Mondella died. Gosh, it's good to talk to you!! There was a lady from Cuba name Emma Foutavilla or something like that. Oh and Brenda Powell was an aide. Oh, slowly things come back to me!
Mary Kemper worked in the ER! I remember Wanda Anglin. She was sweet. Everyone there was sweet. Dr. Lewis used to have his tantrums though! What a moody man he was!
(I posted all this on MY site and then I realized what I had done, DUH, and I copied it over here where it should be!) I think I need a nurse or doctor one myself!! LOL
Very nice photos. Happy Easter! We dont have Easter in Viet Nam
Welcome home Cucoo! The Easter Bunny pales in comparison to your lovely little confused face. (Or is it 'stunned'?)
Happy Easter "Sandy"!
I don't know the history of Cuckoo yet, but you sure seem excited to see him.
Thanks for stopping by my blog for a visit.
How funny!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I appreciate it.
Welcome home Cucoo! We sure did miss you.
Wow what a pleasant Easter surprize. Welcome home Cucoo and you sure look nice in your new sweat shirt.
Cute cute post. I thought the CAT had him for sure! ~ jb///
Phew. Glad you managed to save Cucoo.
I have tagged you for a meme (sorry). Details are on my blog. But only participate if you want to (though I love them, I feel bad forcing meme's onto others...).
Cuckoo should have a sweatshirt on after all the nude sunbathing that he did here in Florida! He is probably very sunburned!
Hi Sandy, so good to see that darling again..home for Easter!! And just the right color hair..woohoo! It's a relief to know he's back and safe and sound.
Hugs for you and Cuckoo !, Finn
this is wonderful news. Cucoo is home. Looks well rested from the the trip.
I loved this series of pictures and what at least appears to be the humor of them. But evidently Cucoo has a special meaning for many of you. Care to explain that? :)
Tim...Cucoo has been a long running series since about Feb. 14, 2006. He's a movie star, won 5 Oscars, got lost at sea, was REALLY kidnapped...that was true. Daisy the cat is his only enemy.
Sandy, thanks for the delightfully illustrated latest installment of the adventures of Cucoo. I love the way your imagination works. You made me laugh on this rainy morning in NY :)
Poor cucoo looks a little frazzled in that last photo, but he actually appears to be pretty nonchalant for someone who was almost chewed up by Daisy the cat! So many harrowing adventures for one little guy. Love his cucoo-sized sweatshirt. Cute touch :)
Happy Easter...a little late!
