It's not only immigrants!!

With so much talk these days on immigrants, and how they're taking jobs away from us, I thought this little narrative, that was passed on to me, said a lot. This only pertains to the job situation....not to the legality of their status....that's another thing altogether.

Subject: It's not only immigrants!!

Maize "AIN'T" IT THE TRUTH!!! Joe Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6am. While his coffee pot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG). He put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE) and tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA). After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA) he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA) he got in his car (MADE IN GERMANY) filled it with GAS from Saudi Arabia and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB. At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day checking his Computer (Made In Malaysia), Joe decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL) poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE) and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in AMERICA......

Yep, it's true. The politicians have sold us out over the years. Sad.....

I think the idea was that all Americans were suppose to have white collar jobs and not have to do any 'real' work - gee doesn't seem to be working out that way does it. Big companies are taking their labor over seas for cheap labor and bigger profits. I do believe that the USA is the only country that doesn't have laws about taking work to another country. I used to laugh when I lived over seas - buying on the black market you could buy 'American' products like radios that came from the base and when you looked it was made in Japan. What happened to the regular working man - being proud of what you did no matter what the job. I am on the soap box with you on this issue.

Amen, sister! Totally true! Throw in there the fact that our culture is never satisfied with what they "do" have and you've got a lot of the big picture!
