We had quite a storm come thru here this morning, around 3:00 am. Lots of thunder, lightning, rain and scared cats…The thunder woke me to find one cat hidden UNDER the covers and another nestled at the foot of the bed. The third cat was hiding under our bed, because as soon as my feet hit the floor, I felt her rub against my ankle.
I got up just to check my computer, but the storm had already shut it off and left my printer stuck on, the ON position and it wouldn’t turn off. I had to unplug it to reset the memory, and then plug it back in…and all was fine.
Good thing we mowed yesterday, because…
it was supposed to rain today and the grass & dandelions were really getting tall. See how tall the dandelions were? And some little bird was spreading the unwanted seeds around.
As I went into our building to get the lawnmower, an urge kept pulling me to the left side of the building, where the bikes are kept and, a little voice in my head kept repeating,
“First you mow…then you ride,”
but on the other hand, maybe the dew, on the grass, needed to dry off, just a little bit more…and therefore, we should ride first.
Jimmy quickly gassed up the lawnmower and rolled it out of the building…The decision was made…I mow FIRST.
While I mowed and Jimmy weed-eated…..
This is what “Bird Brain” did!!!
Oh…I mean sweet little, Cucoo!

I understand that a pretty big storm went through here this morning too. I didn't get to sleep until after 1am so it didn't wake me up We had good sized hail and everything.
My computer was out too. My speakers are still out. I see that Cucoo's weird like me.Play before work
Ah the sweet life of a Cucoo.
We had storms too and hail.
Cucoo is really doing his share isn't he??
LOL, loved the little bird brain pict! I totally understand the urge to get out of the house and go do something FUN instead of the routine chores. Hope you get to ride, and soon!
Just saw the other picts on your page, and I must say.. what beautiful country side! I really miss living out in the country. :(
I usually think like you did, "grass is too wet, let it dry off"..... I always think about you when I see T warnings in Kentucky......glad cucoo survived... Is Jimmy your hubby? That was my hubby's name..... As far as grass, I'm waiting for my son to come over and cut it, for I'm still not suppose to do anything thats called work..... I'd say lucky me, but when you can't do something you want to...
Hi sandy, I'm chuckling at "bird brain"...apparently NOT such a dumb cluck at all, he's got the best job I think!!
Hope you got a wonderful ride on something faster than the mower...*VBS* I'm still working on what is "weird" about me...LOL. I might think of 6 things yet, don't give up! Hugs, Finn
Hope you got to take a ride after the chores were done. Or maybe you kicked oh I mean moved 'bird brain' out of the hammock and took a nice rest.
Your yard looks so nice. It is so dry down here the only thing growing is weeds. We don't water the little bit of lawn we have - it just wouldn't be worth it and the water restrictions are tough right now.
Ok, kick that bird off the hammock - I want a turn!
That's one lazy little bird brain. Or maybe he had the right idea...and the rest of us are stupid :)
Hope you got your ride it after the chores were done. Looks like a beautiful day for it. Glad the storm didn't damage your computer. Horror of horrors (that would be)!
I'm with Cucoo -- just say "no" to mowing!
