Thursday, Jimmy & I jumped on the bike and headed out for a ride. It was sunny and 84º....just perfect weather for a nice ride. This picture is close to our house on Hwy. 21 in Berea, going towards Indian Fort Theater.
This picture is still on Hwy. 21, but I still don't see many leaves on the trees yet. The redbud trees are beginning to bloom as well as a few dogwoods (not seen in this picture).
No leaves here either. Now we are on Hwy. 89 south traveling along Indian Creek towards Livingston. Indian Creek is beautiful with its emerald green water...but today we didn't stop here. We traveled on down to London, Kentucky and had a bite to eat and headed for home.
This picture is back home to Berea and this is what is called the (Berea) College Square. This picture is an 'over the back' shot as we were traveling away. There's always more green here and I personally think it's partly due to the underground steam pipes that are buried all over the college campus.
This picture was taken in front of our local hospital on U.S. 25. All of the above pictures were taken on Thursday, from the moving bike...and as you can see...I take better pictures while moving, than I do standing still.

Great pictures. I like the road ahead one - guess I tend to like road pics. Glad you had a nice ride.
Hears hoping you have a nice Easter.
Great pictures. I love when the redbuds bloom. I haven't had my bike out yet. I'm ashamed. Today looks like a good day for it.
Beautiful country you have there in Kentucky. Thanks for taking us along on the ride. My older brother lives in Virginia, and your country road looks much like the ride to his house. I haven't been east in nearly 15 years. Your photos make me want to go back for a visit.
And thanks so much for stopping by The Dharma Bums and leaving a comment on my post about my sister's car accident. I appreciated it very much.
These pictures came out amazingly clear. They're great! I love the flowering trees. So pretty. Wow 84º, that's warm. Your spring is several weeks ahead of ours. My daffs have just started blooming. Tulips will be next (soon)! I'm loving the colors. Your ride looks like great fun. Thanks for taking us with you :)
Great pictures!! Dear old Berea Hospital. I worked there for several years back in the 70's! Berea is a great little town. I always loved it. I've been wanting to come up there and eat at Boone Tavern sometime. It's been years since I've been there!! Is Dr. Kirby still mayor?? Surely not after all this time.
I felt like I was on the motorcycle ride with you. I used to ride years ago, I miss it. Maybe I should rent a bike just for a short time and get it out of my system. Nothing like a nice ride in the spring time! Nice photos!
Happy Easter Sandy! *VBS* Love the pictures from Thursday. And I'm chuckling cause you take better pictures moving that I do staning still...LOL..I seem to have a built in wobble as I wait for the second light to come on, indicating focus..LOL
Blustery and cold up here today, all our nice days were during the week...darn!
Wow, that was a great bike ride.
I'm amazed that the pictures are so clear while taken on the bike.
You've got a talent there!!!!
Kentucky is a beautiful state. In Paducah in far western Kentucky they have a ten mile Dogwood trail through town that is also lit up at night. In a few days they will have the Annual AQS Quilt Show which draws people from all across the country.
Oh, how I miss the dogwoods and redbuds blooming in the spring. But you have to get off the bike, LOL, I hate to take pictures from a moving vehicle. Fortunately, I've trained my husband to stop when I see something I want to take a picture. You must have enjoyed that ride.
Great pictures on a warm day to be out enjoying it. Were you on your bike on your recent trip to GA?
Beautiful pictures! I love roads photos. Just a beautiful country too!
