a word to the wise

Some of you expressed concern over the ecard that I got as an April fool’s joke….WELL DON’T!!!
It was just that…an April fool’s joke and I got the biggest laugh out of it and….as a BONUS, I got to write a post about it.

When you get as old as I am, you learn to laugh at all that life throws your way, with the exception of your children.

Ah…that’s another story and let me tell you….Just because they’re all grown up doesn’t mean that they don’t still get under your skin sometimes…
They still act like teenagers, and for those of you, who have been through the rough teenage years, I’m sure you can relate with me. It’s not easy and it’s a heartbreak.

But you know? I’m 61, I’m all grown up and I have a life of my own to enjoy…I feel I’ve earned it. So for all you brothers & sisters out there who don’t get along….well, I can’t help any of you….that’s something that you will have to fix on your own, because MOM is going to enjoy the rest of her life.

Yes sometimes it is best to let sibblings work it out. Hope you have recovered from the e-card. lol

Hi Sandy ~~ You have the right attitude-
let the family work out their own problems. I am 10 years older than you
and like you have learned to concentrate
on living my own life. Cheers, Merle.

Good for you. I also have the rest of my life to live and I am enjoying it.
My mother and I used to sit down and figure out what everyone should do then say oh well, they are going to do what they want. The only time I get mad at my siblings is when they hurt Mom's feelings and we are down to just one of those now so maybe there is hope for that one too.

Morning Sandy, good to see your post again..*VBS* You know, one of thing I love best about you, is that you "tell it like it is". And by our 60's if we can't do that, then heaven help us!

I'm with YOU girl!! Life is too short for all that "he said, she said" nonsense!! Hugs, Finn
