Solution

Finn said what I needed for the hammock, was an overnight sleeper to keep the hammock from flipping and twisting…And Gary said to hang some weights on opposite corners and, since I didn’t have any pretty yarn, will a nice man and his cat do?

Sorry Somershade, I think this is going to work out pretty well as long as they stay in the hammock...So I guess I'll be keeping it after all.
Shhhh....don't anyone wake them!

It is a beautiful hammock, I am suprised that it is twisting like that. I guess you can't have everything, the wind blows thru the rope hammock, but this one is so much prettier. It looks more comfortable than the rope one too!

Your cat is simply beautiful. I adore fat cats. I have one. She's calico. The hammock looks wonderful, but I wish it would work out for you. Maybe you should ask the store where you bought it from if they have any ideas about the twisting. Because it's a wonderful hammock; cooler than those rope ones.

Have a fantabulous day.

Now that looks comfortable for both him and the cat. Very comfy indeed!

I've been laughing at all the cat pictures and I hate to say this, but I have a feeling your hammock won't last long once Jybow gets a little restless on a lazy summer evening!
LOVED the pond pictures, it's beautiful! If I can get mine looking up to par this week, I'll post some pictures of it also.

I've never tried a hammock but seeing those pictures and seeing how peaceful both man and cat look, I think I'd like to try one!! lol

Lovely hammock, lovely yard, pond, cat and man. All such a peaceful scene. I just love waterlilies! Does your pond freeze over in winter? I'd try tying a cord on one and then another on the opposite end and anchoring them in the ground with a stake. That should help with the twisting problem. Love your posts!

I popped over from Tasmanian Trails...

What a beautiful hammock, and if a kitty will sleep in it, it's bound to be comfy.

I also loved your pond pictures, so relaxing. I'd love to put a pond in our yard, but right now my son is just 2, so I think it will have to wait a few years.

Thanks for all the refreshing photos :)

That hammock looks worth whatever work it takes to use it. It must be good if the cat likes to sleep on it.
