Mole Hunting Techniques

First you find an active den of moles. In the picture above Hopalong is showing Jybow how it's done.

Daisy sits over the mole hole and watches the ground rumble, as the moles move about in their borrows. When the mole appears in the hole, Daisy will snatch it out.

It's Ferbie's turn and he has his own technique...He puts his ear to the ground and listens for the mole's movements. There's no reason why you can't nap and listen at the same time.

Jybow takes over the watch for awhile...

Then Ferbie comes back to help...You just never know, there might be several moles down there.

Jybow gets all relaxed and decides the mole will just have to wake her when it's ready to give up.

And there you have the cats mole hunting techniques and sometimes I wonder how they ever catch anything.

This is very cute and funny. I presume they hadn't caught any.

Ah, the cat's life! As I watch mine sleep all day on the porch swing, I sometimes wish I could come back as a cat. Looks like yours are happy!

Really like that last picture - there is nothing like seeing a cat all relaxed. Guess the mole lucked out that day.

Our cats catch some of the moles and bring them indoors.

Ah, what a great story of the great hunters! I wouldn't want to be a mole in your yard. Well, I wouldn't want to be a mole period, but you know what I mean!!

Loved all the cat pictures and the great story to go with it.

What an amazing pictures! Your cats is so cute and clever!
Mole in Portuguese means "toupeira" and he is a big animal. What's means mole in USA?

And I want to thank you for your nice comments and compliments about my children and family's photos! So sweet of you!

Poor moles! (Though I am not too worried...your stealthy hunters don't seem that motivated!) Your cats are so photogenic, you should put them in film!

Wandered over here via "Sliding Through Life" and am glad I did. I just love cats so much. We have a passel of them (all strays) that I feed twice daily. One of these days I will find a kitten for inside (not a stray though).

The TV on the gas pump in the post below....priceless! :) Sounds like you're doing really well on the bike and enjoying yourself!
