I'm not mentally ready for this...

And I don't think the kitty is either.
Luckily it's only a dusting of about one inch and will soon be gone with our temps reaching to 40ºF by this afternoon.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first snow that this kitty has ever seen and she can't take her eyes off it. As I write this, the snow is already melting away uncovering the green grass beneath.

But wait...the snow is falling again and I am mesmerized by the slowly falling flakes, that I see in the window behind my monitor screen. There is nothing more beautiful than the drifting, falling snowflakes I see beyond my window pane. Although I love snow...I'm still not ready for it so soon.

Today is another day full of appointments and one of them is at the eye doctor for Jimmy. He has done so well and can read all of the eyechart without the aid of glasses...how great is that!!! Not bad for someone who will be 70 years old tomorrow. And I hear that his eyesight will get even better as he's healing. Does that mean he'll have x-ray vision!@#?*LOL* (don't ask me why that's highlighted...I didn't do it...it's one of those blogger mysteries).

We frontlined all the cats yesterday and they all appreciated it except for Jybow. There's always one in the bunch that doesn't appreciate a good flea treatment and it's always Jybow. She flew around the house with a bristled up tail and later in the day, every time she saw me she fled from my sight like I was some kind of serial cat killer, out to get her. She's fine today and that's her in the second picture looking out at the snow.

Today I'm doing the second phase of my Thanksgiving grocery shopping. We have so many guests that I can't carry all the items in at once...or possibly store them. We even have a second refrigerator because the food won't all fit into one. I'll start preparing some of the food tomorrow and Wednesday and then finish up Thanksgiving morning. It's going to be fun and the weatherman said it will be 60ºF on Thanksgiving Day. Jimmy helps me on Thanksgiving morning and once dinner is served and the feeding frenzy begins, our work is done.

Wow, snow already. Do you usually get snow this early? The cat looking out the window is a great picture! It sounds like you have been really busy lately, with this week full also. Don't over-do it! Hope you have a great holiday with all your family.

Susan...We're lucky if we get snowflakes for Christmas anymore so yes, this snow was a bit early. We haven't even got our furnace turned on yet.

Cute cat! Thought I'd drop by and say thanks for your comment. It's so true, although some people tend to think you're mental when you smile and laugh a lot. But that says more about them, right?
Happy Thanksgiving.

As you know by my blog posts, we've already had a couple of snowfalls so about time you get some too!!!! lol I agree with you, though, it sure is pretty to watch it fall! Glad to hear that Jimmy is doing so well...amazing what they can do now with cataracts and the recovery time is sooo speedy! Sounds like a very busy week for...it's all worth it, though, when you can have the family together like that:-)

Wow snow! We don't get snow here, often, much. Lets see, I think the last time was in 1988.
Now Galveston had some last winter I think. I remember funny photos on the news. Snow on the sandy beach of the Gulf of Mexico.
We are supposed to get a light freeze tonight. We'll see.
Happy Thanksgiving to yall!

Having perfect vision at 70 is amazing. He probably will end up with xray vision, ha,ha.

We haven't had snow yet and it's starting to bother me. We usually get snow that stays in late October..

No way will Jimmy be 70! He's too young to be that old. Well, I know that made no sense whatsoever!

Anyway, Happy Birthday Jimmy!! It's wonderful about his eyes!!!

The snow is pretty. I did not get any pictures. Looks like maybe you had a bit more than we did, but then you got up earlier than me I'm sure, so some of ours may have been melted.

Jybow is a rebel cat!

I put that comment on the wrong post...sorry.
Meant to also say that's wonderful about Jimmy's eyesight. Keep the cryptonite away from him!
Those are lovely pictures of the white stuff.

How can you all have snow before us here in New York??? That's just weird! Beautiful, though...

Happy birthday to your husband as well. He's a handsome fella! He's he from Kentucky too?

God bless!

Wow! Snow already! I am surprised. All we have had over here is drizzle and rain, maybe a frost or 2 in the morning. Dancer Girl would be so so so excited if that little bit of snow happened over here. She keeps saying that winter is her favorite season because of the snow.
