Because my fruit trees are blooming with what looks like a bumper crop...and the temperature for the weekend is going to be freezing. I could build fires all around them, but that's too extreme and too much work. Covering them is out of the question too, so we'll just let nature work things out. In case you're wondering...these are plum blossoms.

No, it's not a good prospect. I noticed our lilac bush is greening up and I hope we don't get a freeze that would ruin the prospective blossoms.
It's cold and rainy here today, but still nice. Husband has been working on the pool (getting it ready) and transplanting tomato plants. We're looking forward to continuing good weather and Little One's birthday party on Saturday. Wish you were here.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you. I remember smudge pots being lit in the walnut orchards near where we lived in California.
Our Bradford pear trees are starting to bloom too! It has been so pretty hasn't it though!!
here is a wish that it won't get too cold...those blooms are beautiful!
:-D
I echo Val. She lived close to where I live now.
Our trees have already bloomed but we've been known to have a sudden frost late in March.
wow, those plum blossoms are soo pretty...and it is funny because Little One has been asking me for plums for 2 weeks now, though our store has not had any
