Valerie says, "I do."

Valerie standing at the door of her church with her dad getting ready to walk down the isle for the last time as a single young lady this afternoon.

Our granddaughter Valerie was very relaxed as she got ready for her big day today. The ceremony was officiated by her step-brother Eddie who did a wonderful job performing the ceremony at the Blue Lick Baptist Church today. The ceremony was followed by a reception and lots of picture taking.
Mr. & Mrs.
The happy newlyweds
Jimmy and Valerie
The bride looked very beautiful and she was very happy throughout the day despite the chill in the air and everyone asking her to stand outside and pose for pictures. The groom there beside her has a wonderful smile on his face too. I wonder if he realizes just what a good girl he's getting?
After the pictures were taken, the cake cut, the food eaten, and the bouquet was tossed the happy couple left on their honeymoon.

There is always something different at each wedding that I find special and in this one someone created a slideshow that was viewed on the front wall of the church as we sat in the pews waiting for the ceremony to begin. The slideshow showed pictures of Jimmy and of Valerie all the way from infancy to adulthood. It was a very touching event that started the waterworks for me, and of course the love song that was playing in the background didn't help to stop the flow of tears either. It was a very touching slideshow and a very nice way to pass the time while waiting for the wedding to begin.

They make a really cute couple and Valerie is a radiant bride :)
I love the idea of the slide show (I would have been in tears as well!)

A wedding makes for a great day. It was chilly here. I love the idea of the slide show before the wedding. They look nice together. Congratulations.

Congratulation to the happy young couple. Valerie looks radiant and very beautiful.
What a great idea the slide show was. I saw that at a wedding once and loved it.
