We left early and by noon I was hungry. I had forgotten to eat any breakfast before we left, so we stopped at a little country store at the Red River Gorge for a deli sandwich and some conversation with a man who was driving a new corvette convertible which he offered to trade for our bike for an afternoon. Of course he was just being polite and we told him that we had been admiring his car too.
Not wanting to ride on roads that we have already traveled we decided to take a new route. It's hard to get lost when you know that all the roads that are odd numbered go north & south and the even numbered roads go in the direction of east & west. I guess it's possible to go in the wrong direction, but that only could happen if you don't know that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. And besides that, it really doesn't matter if we get lost anyway because we're together and have no time or work constraints. Our cats have self feeders & plenty of water and would probably enjoy a night outside for a day or two until we found our way back home. hehehe.
Unfortunately we made it back home safe & sound and in plenty of time for Jimmy to watch his bullriding show on TV. Maybe we'll have better luck tomorrow in getting lost.
