An annoyance that I shouldn't complain about

I just saw the funniest thing...a large salt truck with its blade down scraping our road.  And I can hear you asking yourself in the background, "What's so funny about that?"
What's funny about that is, that our road is perfectly dry and there is NO SNOW on it!  Perhaps he's early and wants to get his job done before the snow arrives.  I also didn't see him dropping any road salt down as he went by either, but our road is already a shade of white from all the road salt it has on it.

I know that I should be thankful and thanking those wonderful guys for the excellent job they do in snow removal (and I am thankful, don't get me wrong), but when I see them pass the house 3,4 &5 times a day scraping our road it just makes me wonder why they don't go elsewhere and help other people who are still trapped in by their snow covered roads?

If they are state workers they are getting paid by the hour. And we, the taxpayers, are paying for it. Up here they throw down the brine and there isn't any snow in the forecast. Of course, now there is but so far no plows have gone by our house. If they did, I am sure my husband would get right on the phone wanting to know why. Once is fine, but 2, 3, 4 times? Ridiculous!

Cheyenne, I'm not upset that they keep our road clear of ice and snow, but what does upset me is that each county has its boundary lines and they won't cross over to clean up another county. I wish we operated more on helping others than on which county has more money for snow removal. If a county is poor then you're trapped in your homes, meaning that emergency vehicles cannot get in either.
So, when I see the snow removal trucks pass by my house so many times I naturally think of those people that are not so fortunate.
