Paint Lick Creek in early Spring

I think the flowers might be wild phlox but I can't be sure.
Whatever they are, they were pretty though.  The trees still
haven't leaved out completely and I can't wait until they do,
because that's the time of year I really love to ride.
Things are still looking rather dreary & bleak in places.

This section of road is a pretty
secluded one lane road that narrows down to almost
a path.

The only life we saw were numerous grey squirrels
in the road who really weren't in any hurry to get out of our way.

This is the road we were on today.
It's in western Madison County, Ky off
Hwy 52 near Paint Lick, Ky.
There must have been a Mill located on this road
at one time but I couldn't find any history on the subject.
I'll just have to dig deeper and come back later
to add a link.

This my favorite time of year when the earth in Kentucky is renewing it self with new growth. The rains wash away the dirt and dust.
