Drove myself over to Boonesboro State Park and to my surprise the park was closed. I drove into the park because the boat ramp is still open and it seems that they are doing major repairs to the park. I wanted to stop, park and rest in the shade for a little while, but will all the yellow tape around and blocking every field and point of entry, I had to keep driving, so I just turned around and drove out and headed back to Richmond to see what was going on at Lake Reba. The lake was booming and loaded with kayaks, which you can rent there, and with lots of people enjoying the day fishing. The Fire & Rescue were also there and I'm assuming it is because of the kayak rentals.
Rick came back from his scooter ride at noon and told me that he didn't want to go anywhere and that's why I drove myself to Boonesboro State Park. I would have liked to have been able to drive myself to Virginia Beach but that's too far for me to go alone. Maybe one of these days one of my girls will go with me.
I'm back home now and Rick wants to know why I bothered to come home so early (2:30 p.m.) and also encouraged me to just go right back out. I might just do that. It's really a crying shame that when he wants to go somewhere, like he did this morning for two hours it is okay, but when I leave for 2 hours it is a crime. I don't see the difference. He didn't want to go with me, so what am I supposed to do? Waste my entire Summer and life waiting for him to say it is okay for us to go some place together? He has just gone outside to inspect the car. Just in case I put a little scratch on it or something while I was gone. He always does this and I'm used to it and it no longer bothers me, because I'm careful with my car unlike him with my Saturn.
