Happy 30th Birthday Brandon Hatcher

My youngest grandson turns 30 today, and that's a big milestone.  I'm sure we all remember our 30th birthday.  We all felt like we were getting old, but actually it's just another number in our many birthdays to come.

I wish Brandon a very Happy Birthday today and many more to come in the coming years.  I hope he lives a long, happy, healthy and prosperous life filled with love.

Happy 30th Birthday Brandon!  We all love you and are proud of you!

Happy Birthday Suzanne!

Oh my gosh!  I can't believe another year has gone by so fast.  It seems that just like yesterday I remember you in an infant carrier perched on top of my kitchen counter watching me bake bread, cookies or making meals for all of you.  I cooked and baked  a lot in those days, but now as we have all gotten older, cooking and baking seems to have fallen by the wayside.  The only thing that hasn't changed is my love for you Suzanne.

Now that you're older, 59 years older to be exact, my love has only grown stronger.  I cherish every single day that I was blessed to have you by my side.  I am so proud of you!  You are the best daughter, mother, wife, grandmother and person I know.  You are always there for all of us, and as Brian used to say, "Suzanne's our Angel," always there to help without ever accepting anything in return.  You have taken care of all of us......me, your dad and all of your family and extended family as well.  This earth would not be the same without you in it, and I am so proud to be called Mom by you.

You are beautiful inside

and out.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUZANNE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMMY WALLACE!

Today is Jimmy Wallace's birthday.  It's hard for me to believe that he would have been 83 years old if the cancers hadn't killed him.  He was so healthy and perfect, except for the cancers.  Yes, I say perfect because he was perfect.  He was all I wanted in a husband and we were very happy.  It's hard for people to believe that Jimmy and I never argued about anything.  This doesn't mean that we thought alike, but only that we respected each others opinions and didn't criticize each other for having differences.  We got along great because we enjoyed each others company.  We spent 24 hours a day together enjoying life and of course each other.  We never took each other for granted and told each other that we loved them almost daily.  The love that we had for each other wasn't just in the spoken word, but in our actions towards each other.  It was in the way we treated each other.

I read a little verse yesterday, but it didn't have an author, but I'm going to quote it here in remembrance of Jimmy.

Jimmy,
Today is your birthday.

"Remembering you is easy,
I do it every day.
Missing you is the heartache,
That will never go away."

Jimmy, Thank you for the spectacular sunrise this morning.  I know that it was you reaching out to me from Heaven.  I felt your presence just as soon as I stepped outside to witness such a beautiful sight.  You always did know how to cheer me up :)

Below is a special poem for Jimmy
