I am so bothered, or maybe I should say, that I used to be so bothered with these ridiculous Spam & Telemarketer calls on my cell phone, but at least my cell phone identifies them as SPAM calls so that I don't have to answer them if I don't want to. I do however have to listen to them ring in, but with the click of a button I can silence them.
Lately I have been having fun with some of the Spam calls. I guess I must be bored to even answer them, or I'm just spending too much time alone, but if I find that it is a live person that is calling me, I'll keep them on the line just for fun. I did make one of the gentlemen mad because he said that I wasted 20 minutes of his time, just because I told him that I couldn't make up my mind now and that I would call back later. He got so mad that he finally just hung up on me. I really didn't care because I had no intentions on buying whatever he was selling anyway. If I want to buy something or find out information, I'll initiate the call myself, because I'm not giving out any personal information over the phone to any strangers that call me! I won't even give them my name. Some calls tell me that I won something, but they won't send it to me until I pay something, so I just hang up cause I ain't paying anything.
Most Spam calls are either trying to get me on a better Medicare plan or to tell me that my warranty has run out on my car. I baffle them when I ask them which one of my cars it has run out on? They just don't know what to say and sometimes just hang up on me. That's all fine and dandy, no skin off my nose, I know my warrantee is still good.
Sometimes the calls come from a noisy place in a foreign country, or it seems so. It sounds like they're calling from a room full of other foreigners making phone calls too. I have trouble understanding their English with their deep accent and I used to have to ask them to repeat what they were saying to me over and over again, but since I found this little sign (below), I can have fun with them now by telling them that I can't understand them, and instruct them to please press "1" for English.
