Here is my 13 year old great-grandson Jack standing next to the World War II Memorial. As Americans we are free to travel.
My grandson Matt played a round of golf a day or so ago with his son Carson. This is a picture of Matt.
My daughter Suzanne went fishing again this afternoon. It's hard to keep her away from water, ha ha. This isn't the only fish she caught, but I like posting pictures of her in the picture with her catch. Suzanne is the only one of my children who has dimples like her Uncle Dennis.
And probably yesterday, because today it was kinda cold, Lyle once again put on his shades and looked like Mr. Cool. Although today was sunny, yesterday was warmer.
I'm enjoying life just listening to music and relaxing my days away. Today it was kind of cold, but the sun made it look so pretty outside. My poor Redbud tree lost its pretty purple blossoms to the front last week, but Rick's Redbud tree is so beautiful. His tree escaped the frost.
Today the No Kings protesters were around our town. I read yesterday that they expected 1000 protesters here, but some of the cars that passed by said that they only saw about 12 total scattered here and there. It was probably too cold for them, or maybe they all decided to travel to Richmond, Kentucky to join the protesters there. Our little college town is always protesting something, but I have to say that they are peaceful here, or at least I've never heard any different.
I live in a peaceful area out of town. Not much happening here except for an occasional druggy stealing stuff that they can sell quickly to support their drug habit. We have no murders, but people can't drive very well, so we have lots of accidents especially on our new roundabout which is located up the road from my house. Somehow no one expects it to be there at night and they run straight through it and end up knocking the signs down and getting stuck in the grassy area in the center....and of course damaging their vehicles.
Since there is no discipline in schools or in some homes these days, we do have rowdy school kids that have no respect for anything nor anyone and like to argue with the police. I'm sure that they all can't be that way tho. Thank goodness my great-grandchildren are homeschooled and very well behaved and respectful. My great-grandchildren are like kids used to be when I and my children grew up. They're very well rounded and do a lot of family stuff together. I'm so proud of my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and wouldn't trade any of them for all the riches in the world. The grandchildren all have good jobs and take very good care of their families, again, I have to say that I'm very, very proud of them all and I love them all very much....even Doug.
Music sure mellows a person out.
