games people play

Gaming night at our house has become a regular affair. I have an assortment of games to choose from, but I am currently looking for Stackable Scrabble. My youngest daughter, Suzanne who usually comes to check on me and Jimmy on an almost daily basis participates in our gaming activities .....along with my grandson, Matt and his wife, Tori.

Matt and Tori are both around the age of 19, so it's quite an honor that they both choose to spend their spare time with us, ageing old grandparents...and their mother, on a regular basis.

The night before last they chose to play Scrabble first. I used to be the Scrabble Queen, judging by all the old left over score sheets that are kept in the game box, but of late I have been de-throned, by none other than my grandson, Matt. Matt even manages to win when he is called away for a fire or auto accident. The Scrabble game continues without him, but sometimes his emergency is a false alarm...and he is soon back in the game.

I told Matt that I thought that the fire department has made him smarter and Matt quickly responded with, "No, Tori made me smarter".....Smart answer, I thought, and looked over at Tori and she was grinning from ear to ear. For a very young married man he's learning just the right things to say to make his young wife happy.

Hey, I had a post by the same name. Check it out. You are lucky to actually have family members who want to play games with you. Nobody, except possibly Alipurr, wants to play with me anymore. I didn't know you liked Scrabble so much, otherwise I would have pulled out my game the last time you were here. Just wait until the next visit, either here or at your house!!!

The new Scrabble game is called "UpWords"...
Suzanne, Tori & I found it on the pc.

Tonight we played a heated game of Monopoly and I went bankrupt and had to mortgage everything.

Games sound fun. It has been a while since we played games around here. Unless you count Candyland and Chutes and Ladders, or the occasional Jeopardy, and the daily Wheel of Fortune.

My post wasn't only about board games...it was about the games people play...with each other.
I guess you would have had to have been here to watch the newly weds.
