Counting my Blessings

We picked up (Baby Bear) Brandon from school yesterday and spent the afternoon & evening laughing at his antics. We went out for supper and we let him choose the place…and of course he chose his favorite…Pizza.

I surprised him with a trip to the early matinee at the movies to see Ice Age: The Meltdown…this is not something we usually do on a school night, but what the heck….I’m grandma, and I can spoil him if I want to! Since we arrived at the movie a little early, I let him play some arcade games until it was time for the movie to begin.

Brandon is such a cuddly child and not afraid to show affection, no matter where he is. Every time we see him now, he’s taller and looking more grown up. He’s even begun talking about girl’s now…one girl in particular. He is just growing up TOO FAST, but at least he still is not embarrassed to be seen with me at the movies…I know there will come a day when going to the movies with Grandma will NOT be cool…But for now I’ll enjoy every precious moment I spend with him and count my blessings.

This is Brandon's most recent school picture...I got it last night when I took him home...And did I tell you how smart he is?

Smart, affectionate and cute? No wonder you are proud!

It's lovely that you get to spend time with your dear grandson. He will always remember his special times with you, even when he gets 'too cool' to hang out with his grandma much!

A handsome boy - they grow so fast at that age. Glad he still likes to be with grandma. You have reason to be proud of him - smart, good looking - we need many more like Brandon around.

Hi Sandy, so nice to have you back *VBS* How wonderful to get to claim him for an evening..it all sounds perfect to me..pizza, a good movie, and time together. It's a great school picture, much nicer than the "just head" shots we usually get.

He's a lucky boy, and you, my friend, are a lucky grandma..*VBS* Hugs, Finn

Some of my best memories from childhood are from the time I spent with my grandma. Brandon is lucky to have you. As a grandma it is your duty to brag him up for the world to know how wonderful he is. Well done!

Glad you all had a great time. And the school night rules? They're made to be broken on occasion - especially if it's Grandma that does the breaking!!
