Sunday Clouds

The sky was beautiful on Sunday with ever changing formations of clouds. Sometimes the sky looked angry as if about to release a fury of showers upon us and other times it looked quite peaceful. Jimmy & I sat and watched the clouds as they passed by and among the clouds we saw about 15 buzzards. We seldom see buzzards anymore and were just wondering what became of the numerous buzzards that we used to see along the roadways eating up the dead carcases known to most of us as roadkill. Perhaps the buzzards were harmed by the use of pestisides which diminished their numbers. Anyway it was nice to see them again.

The birds you see (above picture) are not the buzzards. The buzzards were flying very, very high and only appeared as very tiny specks among the clouds. I don't think any of these pictures show them.

Jimmy & I spent a day of relaxation, watching the clouds and the wind blow and just talking. It was a very enjoyable and peaceful day in our neighborhood, with lots of good conversation.

That sounds like a wonderful day, Sandy.

You have such an ability to see beauty all around you, and to take joy from the simple things in life. I aspire to be like that, too!

What a lovely day and a great way to spend it too!! Great pictures!

I have seen quite a few buzzards lately it seems. There was 3 down below the house the other day. They were sitting in a tree looking over the lake. A boat came along and off they flew. Then I saw about 8 or so circling around over a field down the road on another day. They are big fellows! Kind of creepy though.....

Those clouds are beautiful. I love the flag photo especially. We have turkey vultures too but I don't think we have buzzards. I imagine they're related.
I can picture you and Jimmy relaxing on that lovely sunny day.
We had rain this morning but warm sunshine this afternoon. Aah, spring! It feels like Heaven after our cold winter.
Did you change your template, or am I imagining things?

Hi Sandy, clouds are the perfect photographers models, specially against a blue sky.
