Another Meme

I was tagged by Susie to do a meme a while back so here it is. I’m a bit slow about doing these memes, so please forgive me. Susie also inadvertently renamed my blog to, “Abandoned in Paradise”, which I really love and if I would have thought of it myself, I’d use it because that’s just what my life has been like since I met and married Jimmy…Paradise. Now onward to the meme.

INSTRUCTIONS: Remove the blog in the top spot from the following list and bump everyone up one place. Then add your blog to the bottom slot, like so.

Now if you’d like to join in and do this meme on your own, just tag yourself, follow the instructions above and then answer the following questions.

“What were you doing 10 years ago?” Ten years ago Jimmy was taking me on a month long trip around the United States on the back of his motorcycle. It was a dream that he had always had and was on the top of his list of things to do when he retired from work. Unfortunately he developed cancer first, so his dream trip was postponed until he recovered, but we’ve made up for lost time and we’ve taken many cross country trips since then.

“What were you doing 1 year ago?” One year ago during the month of July I was mostly blogging about flowers, my little friend Cucoo, writing memes and most importantly on July 19th I met Rachel of Sliding Through Life in person. What a treat that was and ever since then we have become close friends.

Five snacks you enjoy:

Home grown tomatoes

Bing & Rainier Cherries from the tree

Cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon

freshly picked figs

all tree ripened fruit

avocados

( I should have just said FRUIT)

Five songs to which you know all the lyrics:

“Itsy Bitsy Spider”

“The Wheels on the Bus”

“Born to be Wild” by Steppenwolf

“There’s your Trouble” by the Dixie Chicks

“I love you more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow” by ???

“Five things you would do if you were a millionaire.”

Share it with family

Travel more

Have my motorcycle painted

Hire a pool guy to clean my pool

Hire a cook & housecleaner

“Five Bad Habits”

Eating ice-cream right out of the container

Biting my fingernails

I tend to be bossy sometimes

Forgetting to throw things out of the frig until they turn green

Staying on the computer too long

“Five things you like doing.”

Spending time with family, either in groups or individually

Vacationing with my grown children & grandchildren

Riding my motorcycle

Visiting friends

Blogging & Emailing

“Five things you would never wear again.”

Bikini

Halter tops

Black leather jacket, vest & chaps

Long hair

Combat boots

“Five favorite toys.”

My Big Red Motorcycle

My little black 1986 450cc Honda Rebel

My Computer

My Digital Camera

My Picture Phone

I think this about does it…Now you give it a try. It’s really fun, except for naming your bad habits for all the world to see. I’m not going to tag anyone, but if you’d like to do it, just tell us in the comments so we can stop by and read your meme.

What?!?!? No more black leather jacket, vest and chaps? But I thought that's one of the best things about motorcycle riding, Sandy!

Gee, there seems to be a run on pool guys lately in bloggerland.

Sandy,
I don't know how on earth I messed up on the name of your blog "blush"
Thank you for being so gracious about it, and saying that life with Jimmy is like living in paradise. Thanks also for doing this meme. Loved all your answers!!

"Born to be Wild" was the first movie Ross and I ever watched together (and it wasn't all that great), so I've always liked that song :)
Bobby Vinton popped into my mind when I read the title of the last song, but I googled it and couldn't find it listed under him. Now you've got me wondering.
What color would you paint your motorcycle?
I'm chuckling about the 5 things you'd never wear again :)

Sandy ~ I cracked up at the lack of simile on these two: “The Wheels On The Bus” contrasted to “Born To Be Wild” by Steppenwolf! FUNNY! ~ jb///
