Guess what we've been doing?

Besides going to see the movie, Order of the Pheo*nix on Friday, Brandon got his copy of this (picture above). The movie was action packed and I can't wait to see the remaining two movies. So far, Brandon & I have seen all of the movies together...it's a grandma/Brandon custom that we attend them together. I was kidding Brandon that when the last movie comes out he will be 15 and won't want to go to the movies with me anymore, but instead he'll want to take his girlfriend by that time. hehehe. He however assured me that I can still tag along.

Ooooh I can't wait to see the latest movie but I'll probably wait until it's out on dvd...I don't like being inside a theatre. They were having a huge party at out Chapters at midnight last night when the book was released...wonder how many people in the world are reading that book today!! lol xox

I haven't watched any of those movies. My SIL said that last night she stood in line with all the other people at Walmart at midnight to get the copy of the latest book for her grandson! LOL
I couldn't believe she did that!! Of course he was with her and got his copy!! She said the line was LONG and some people were dressed up in capes, etc. Mercy!!! I can't see me doing that! She said she would only do it for a grandkid!

Gidday Sandy,
I've seen the last four movies and plan to see the new one sometime this week. One of the good things that has happened by publishing the Harry Potter books is that it has brought the act of reading back to thousands of children who either never read before (at least not for pleasure) or became video game addicts.

ICECAZ...Glad you told me, now I don't have to worry about the rumors I heard.

Rachel...I didn't have to stand in line. I preordered the book last February and it came right to my door on Saturday July 21st.

Wazza...You're right, it has stirred a lot of young minds (and older ones too) into reading more. Have you seen the size of each book? They're not small.

My kids were at the Border's store at midnight waiting for their reserved books!
I'm sure he'll still carry on this movie tradition with his grandma, even at 15.

This book series is all the rage...I have not read any of them, although I have seen the movie...it was sweet of Brandon to include you on a "future" date!
:)

My boy is 17 and much too old for the nonsense of waiting in line for the new book, even though he still loves Harry Potter. I had heard that they printed 21 million copies, so I knew that they shouldn't be scarce. I went up to the local grocery store and bought one the day it came out! No lines! Brandon looks happy to have his copy. Anything to keep these kids reading!

Ahhh how nice of him. He might even let you sit in the same row.

I picked up the book yesterday and read the first chapter.
