One year ago today...

Doug & Tabitha

Today my eldest grandson Doug and his wife Tabitha are celebrating their marriage of one year. It's hard to believe that one year has passed by so quickly.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
DOUG & TAB
*
All has been quiet here for a few days without any company stopping by to visit. Jimmy caught a cold which was shortly followed by chills & fever, so he is currently resting & huddled down in front of the fire. I worked quietly yesterday on another crochet project while Jimmy slept the day & night away. On Saturday evening we missed Kyra's first birthday party as Jimmy didn't feel like standing around mingling amongst 50 or so little tikes. He also didn't want to pass his cold on to anyone else. His fever didn't start until Sunday morning, so before that time he thought it was just an ordinary common cold.
Suzanne was also in bed all day yesterday with the same symptoms, but her ears hurt. It starts with what seems to be just an ordinary cold followed by fever. Matt's turned into Bronchitis and now he has double pneumonia, but of course Matt has been out fighting fires and probably got some smoke in his lungs. Tori didn't escape this cold-like sickness either, but she recovered quickly, as I did.
Many schools are shut down around here due to the flu, so we are all glad that we got our flu shots this year. Don't know what we had (and some still have), but it may have been the beginnings of the flu??? I'm not a doctor, so I don't know...but it doesn't last long.

Just in the half hour since I started writing this post, Jimmy has gotten hungry and I think that's a good sign that he is getting better! Hooray!

Happy Anniversary to Doug and Tabitha. Hope Jimmy is feeling better by the end of this post. I did not get a flu shot and I feel great as far as my health goes. Motherkitty got a shot and is also doing fine.

I hope Jimmy feels better soon.

We've all had flu shots here that don't protect us from the many variations that arrive here from all over the world. At least the shot helps a little.

Take care and Happy Anniversary to Doug and Tabitha.

All the best.
Darilyn

P.S. - Some of the random words are hard to write a blip for, but I find it a good, short writing thing for the day.

Happy first anniversary to Doug and Tabitha. Gosh, doesn't time fly?
I hope Jimmy is feeling better by now. Ross had chills and fever on Thursday night and Friday too. That's usually his farmer's lung acting up after he catches a cold, which he's had for the past 2 weeks. He got an antibiotic and is doing better now.
I hope your weather isn't as cold as ours. It's miserable here, with frigid winds blowing in all the cracks!

Congrats on the anniv. One year is a good start.
Nearly everybody I know is sick or getting over it. The problem is the coughing goes on for a month.

Hard to believe it's been that long. Not that a year is long by any means.
Hope Jimmy is doing even better today.

I hope Jimmy and your other relatives who are ill bounce back quickly. I forget you are all having your winter ailments over there, while here we are sweating and sweltering in humidity!

All the best to you Sandy.... keep wamr and dry!
