Reflections

This is a picture of my baby....NO, not the monkey, but my sweet little Suzanne. I was looking at the picture and thinking back on those days when the kids were small, when I noticed the reflections of the monkey's white shoe on the floor. I used to keep a pretty clean & tidy house in those days, and YES, I used to get down on my hands & knees and polish all of the hardwood floors in my house until I discovered a polish & cleaner all in one called, "One Step." At least I think that's what it was called. Anyway you just poured a small puddle of the One Step down on the floor and mopped away with one of those sponge mops. It cleaned the floor and dried to a nice shine. It sure beat getting down on my hands & knees to apply that paste wax, allow it to dry and then come back later to rub it off.
I can't say for sure which type of waxed floor Suzanne is sitting on, but you can sure see the reflections.

Oh, I remember those days only too well. But I had a waxer/buffer. Hardwood floors are nice...in somebody else's house. This time around (2nd house) I have carpeting.

I'm smiling that the cute photo of Suzanne brought back memories of polishing your wood floors.
My mom did hers weekly. They sure are lovely to look at, but lots of work.

I still use paste wax on our bathroom countertop but I do not let it dry before wiping it off.
Very nice photo of Suzanne.
