Like a fine wine....

I don't know what has gotten into Jimmy, but I like it! Today as we were leaving to go meet Zac for lunch in Richmond Jimmy said that when we returned he was going to build a snowman. My first thought was, is this my husband or has someone kidnapped him? This is a man who I have begged for years to come play out in the snow with me and the other day he surprised me when I asked him to make me a snow angel and he said, "Okay." Just like that, no arguing or prodding.
We stopped on the way home from lunch to pick up a few things at the store and while I was putting them away Jimmy disappeared and then came back inside and asked me to look out the window at the big snowball. I couldn't believe what I saw so I just stopped what I was doing and went out with him and began rolling up another snowball for the snowman's head while Jimmy rolled up a bigger one for the middle. We put our snowman together and began looking for arms, eyes, hat and so forth. I know our snowman isn't perfect, but it was fun and he's ours...our first snowman.
I don't know what has gotten into Jimmy lately....maybe he has just finally mellowed like a fine wine, but whatever the reason I like it. All of you that know Jimmy know that he hates snow, cold weather and winter, in no particular order, so for him to suggest that we make a snowman came as quite a big surprise to me. What do you think? Is he going through his second childhood or just being nice(r)? Or maybe it's something more sinister.....you be the judge.

I am shocked but I am so happy that he is enjoying life! That is great. He even got us out the other day when you said he went out to build a snow angel we decided we would do the same. I love the snowman too. Glad you all had a good day that is great! Love you all

Reva...Maybe Jimmy can inspire you guys to get out there and build a snowman too. You think you were shocked??? Do you suppose this change has something to do with the removal of his thyroid or maybe just another wakeup call on how short life can be?

Second childhood for sure :)
That's a very cute snowman!
If God gives you snow...make snowmen! :)
(I should try that).

and he hated cats too...
I think you bring the kid out in him and you are a good influence in inviting him to try new things
