The day after....

All is well here and just looking out in the yard this sunny morning you wouldn't guess that yesterday this yard was submerged under water. There is no visible damage at all , in fact everything looks much greener here. We haven't seen the tomcat who was swept away by the rapidly flowing creek yet, but I'm sure he'll show up for dinner. The cats are happy today that they can walk around the yard again...they don't much like to swim, let alone get their paws wet.

Megan went to work this morning just to find out that the branch bank that she works in is still underwater and maybe that's why they named that road 'Water Street.' Unfortunately she didn't get a day off but was sent to the main branch to work.

Well gotta go. Suzanne is here for a visit.

We got 5 inches over the weekend, but that's nothing compared to Nashville's 13 inches. Goodness, those poor folks!

This will sure make the grass grow! Pitman Creek is pretty wild below us and it washed the Boat Club office about 1/4 of a mile from where it normally sits. These rains make it rough on the docks! I heard Lee's Ford also had some damage.

I'm glad that cat make it safely out! Poor thing!

Goodness, I've been so busy working lately (and the weekend was busy too..phew!) that I missed this news entirely. That was a lot of rain!! Glad to know you're OK and all is well.
Are the cows in a neighboring field?
Happy May to you and Jimmy :)
Doesn't the time fly by, or is it just me?
It's so wonderful to see the beautiful greens again...and the flowers! Ahh, spring...pure delight!
God's blessings abound :)
