Pictures of Megan's First Baby Shower

Sharon, our gracious hostess, is getting things ready
for the baby shower

The baby's name on the 7 layer bean dip

Sharon had everything looking so pretty and festive
with miniature baby bottles & baby rattles
and everything baby.

I don't know how Sharon did this, but the chicken salad
sandwiches were shaped as baby bottles.  This must
have taken a lot of time to do.
I love fresh fruit and dip.  The dip was part marshmallow
creme and part cream cheese.  It was delicious!

Sharon made a cheese ball in the shape of a baby carriage,
a baby booty and also a baby rattle.
Sharon is so talented and loves to entertain.

There were also plenty of tasty meat balls.

Besides the pretty college coeds in the picture would
you look at the size of that pacifier hanging from the
ceiling fan?  That pinata was full of something...maybe
candy pacifiers.
The baby shower was for Megan...she's in the center.
We must be getting ready to play a game.

Oops! Watch Out for that dress Sharon.

Chatting with some of Megan's college friends
Sisters, Suzanne and Sharon

One of Megan's friends (Allison) baked and decorated this cake
for Megan's baby shower.  Isn't the cake pretty and we
all loved those booties and baby bottle sitting beside
the cake.  They were also made of icing by Allison.

Here we all are and of course I'm taking the picture.
If you want to see me, just look in the previous post.

My granddaughter Megan showing off Allison's beautiful cake.
Playing a game with a baby doll, a cell phone, 20 assorted items
of baby clothes, clothes pins, a close line and a stop watch.
Can Megan care for her baby while talking
on her cell phone and hang out the wash on a windy day?
And...how long will it take her to hang out the wash
and take it back down and put it in the diaper bag?
Tori came very close to guessing how long it would take Megan
and won the prize.

The wind is whipping the clothes around,
and where the heck is that cell phone? LOL

The baby is going to be well dressed.  Those college girls
sure know how to pick out clothes!

My great-grandson is going to be a Wildcat Fan, lol.
A very nice bottle & baby food warmer
that can also keep items cold for up to 8 hours.

I won a game and this pretty bow and miniature
baby rattle was tied on top of my very nice gift of glass coasters.
I've already inserted photos taken at the baby shower in them
and they are ready to use and to show off.
Today was a day of fun and we all had a great time at Megan's baby shower.  Sharon out-did herself, but that's just Sharon.  She loves to entertain and host dinner parties and she always does her very best to make sure that everyone has a good time.  Thank you Sharon!  I love you and I can't wait for your next party, hahaha.
Thanks too, to my granddaughter-in-law, Tori, who stopped by to pick me up and take me to the baby shower today, and for carrying that big heavy box for me.  I wasn't sure how I was going to manage that all by myself.  There are benefits that come with being old...everyone wants to help you.  How great is that?  I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

I suppose everyone is wondering what Jimmy was doing on this 80 degree day while I was at the baby shower.  He went riding.  It was an almost perfect day to ride except that it was a little windy.  There were oodles of other riders out on the roads today enjoying the sunshine as well.  Stay safe, stay well and be happy.

OMG, the photos of Megan's First Baby Shower are looking brilliant. What a great job Sharon did with the stylish party. I am just in love with all of these details. I am not a good party planner but soon going to host the DIY rainbow baby shower that I would be hosting at the local event space NYC.
