Yesterday I had a conversation with my daughter Sharon and I told her that in the last two weeks I have put 2,750 miles on my car. I was really surprised by that number, but I have to admit that I have been on the road a lot, and I mean A LOT. I listen to music and think, and most times I say prayers for those people who I know are needing prayer.....but then I go back to thinking about the predicament that I am in.
I have come to the conclusion that I need a friend, preferably a woman about my age who likes to get out and see things, and of course who can pay her own way.
Sharon sent me this diagram after I told her how many miles that I had put on my car. Crazy, isn't it?
I could have gone to California! with my new friend, who ever she might be. We'd have to use the Prius because it gets such good gas mileage, and with my new friend paying half, we'd have no problem. Of course the motel rooms might be a bit too much, but maybe we could sleep in the car or in a tent most nights and just every once in a while find a campground to shower and clean up in. I'm not so sure that I would like that, so maybe we could just travel around Kentucky, Tennessee, and the other surrounding states, and be home by nightfall to rest up in our own homes. We wouldn't have to travel somewhere everyday, just when we felt like it.
PS....My new friend needs to know how to drive safely. And OH, that reminds me that I now have enough miles to make an appointment with my dealer for a routine 5,000 mile maintenance check on my car. I better go do that, Bye.
