It's another beautiful day in the 80's here with a few scattered clouds, but with plenty of sunshine. It can't get any better than that.
This morning we noticed that the little feral gray cat, that has been getting fatter and fatter by the day, is thinner. There are new kittens hidden somewhere near our neighbors blue tar truck. It's a truck that is used for sealing black topped driveways and parking lots. We were hoping that she would have her kittens here so that we could tame them, but maybe she will move them to one of our many dog houses that are used only by cats. We have had requests for two of her kittens so far, so it's important that we tame them. Princess is the reason that the feral cat didn't have her kittens in her usual place. Princess kept chasing the pregnant cat out of our yard. Princess chases all of our cats out of our yard, but the other cats just won't leave :) Below is a picture of the feral cat taken before she had Harley. Since she is solid gray we call her the Gray Mama. She is the only un-fixed cat in the neighborhood. Of course, that is always subject to change as new cats get dropped off here, or just wander in looking for a safe place to live.

Just Goofing Around
Today I'm just goofing around at home playing with my pets and searching for a good movie to watch on TV. I've had trouble getting onto Blogger lately from my iPad, so I cleared my cookies as Blogger recommended and here I am :) I can always email posts to Blogger but I don't think I've tried to email posts with pictures.
Here are some pictures that me and my cat took using Skype, which I never use, but Princess was on top of me giving me kisses so I just turned on Skype and snapped some pictures. They might be a bit grainy, I don't know because I haven't seen them enlarged, but I was just having fun with Princess.
Well, so much for that! It didn't work! Maybe I'll log back in using my laptop later, or maybe I won't.
It took me a while, but I finally found the pictures. Like I said, I was just goofing around!

Kitty with an Attitude
Princess was a VERY BAD GIRL today! She didn't hurt anyone, she could never do that, she just refused to let me do her IV today.
She wanted to go outside and enjoy the warmth of the sunshine and while out there she found something that smelled appealing to her, and she rolled around in it. She doesn't smell bad, but maybe she thought that we might not recognize her (in disguise) later :)

First night out
A couple of nights ago our little calico Squeaker spent its first night outside, from dark until daylight. When daylight came it was ready to come inside and it became a very needy cat not wanting to be anywhere but in Jimmy's lap.
Last night Squeaker stayed outside until 2 a.m. before she and her mother Princess were ready to come inside. We're very happy that Squeak is getting accustomed to the outdoors and to the backyard in particular. We want her to feel safe anywhere that she might be, and this has been a big, big step for Squeak. Before this time she wanted nothing to do with the out of doors. She still refuses to go out in the daytime and prefers the dark of night, but it's a start and one we're very happy about.

Princess Pinky
This sweet little kitty is lost or she was dropped off maybe, because she might be pregnant. Is that what you call it when a cat is going to have kittens? She's not in foal...that's a term for horses I believe. Anyway, she's really a very sweet kitten, about 5-6 months old and she apparently has been someone's house cat. She knows all about being inside and what the litter box is used for.
I'm calling her Princess Pinky because of her beautiful white coat and her pink little nose. And in the picture below you can see her beautiful black tail. She's really a very pretty cat.
Princess Pinky is such a lovable cat and wants to be all over you and requires, or maybe I should say demands lots of attention and petting. She wants to sit on my shoulders and nuzzle my neck and purr loudly in my ear. She's one of those cats that wants to touch her nose to yours and be as close as possible. I think if we were to allow her to stay inside that she would also end up sleeping in my bed beside either Hopalong or Daisy. They don't sleep in our bed together, but you can usually find one of them snuggled at our feet by morning. Pinky seems like a cat who would have to share the pillow with you.Pinky has stolen my heart and seems quite happy staying here. I'll take good care of her until some one claims her as their lost cat or I see a "Lost Poster" with her picture or description of her on it, then I'll take her to her rightful owner, but until then she's welcomed to stay right here.
